Welcome to the Policy Portal 2026!

Queensland Labor invites and encourages policy dialogue. Party members will have access to Local Policy Conferences this year, and policy submissions will also be accepted from local Branches, and Party Units such as Labor Associations and Equity Groups. Queensland Labor’s policy process will ensure members’ voices are heard throughout the Party and at State Conference.

This Portal is where Party Members can submit motions intended for a variety of pathways and Conferences, including motions intended for discussion at Local Policy Conferences and motions for Policy Coordination Council, Rules Committee or Agenda Committee consideration. Motions intended for National Conference will forwarded to National Conference Delegates local to you for their consideration in the National Conference policy process.

The Policy Coordination Council (PCC) is elected by members of Queensland Labor, and is the body that facilitates Queensland Labor’s Policy Platform development process between State Conferences. The PCC will use these submitted Amendments to craft a Draft Policy Platform to propose to State Conference 2026. At that time, State Conference Delegates will have the opportunity to propose further changes.

If you need assistance with the Policy Portal or want to make a change or correction to a submission you have made, please email policy.council@qld.alp.org.au
