Queensland Labor invites and encourages policy dialogue. Party members will have access to Local Policy Conferences this year, and policy submissions will also be accepted from local Branches, and Party Units such as Labor Associations and Equity Groups. Queensland Labor’s policy process will ensure members’ voices are heard throughout the Party and at State Conference.
This Portal is where you can lodge Policy Platform Amendments, Rules Amendments, or Conference Resolutions. It is also a central hub where Party members are strongly encouraged to submit motions in advance of your Local Policy Conference.
The Policy Coordination Council (PCC) is elected by members of Queensland Labor, and is the body that facilitates Queensland Labor’s policy platform development process between State Conferences. The PCC will use these submitted Amendments to craft a Draft Policy Platform to propose to State Conference 2025. At that time, State Conference Delegates will have the opportunity to propose further changes.
If you need assistance with the Policy Portal or want to make a change or correction to a submission you have made, please email: policy.council@qld.alp.org.au
